About Me

ARTIST STATEMENT:
Representational Expressionism. Pigment in whatever form. I work on canvas, paper, walls and theatre sets. Bold & joyful color; honest & arresting. Cultures and landscapes I have lived within show up in my work.
The inevitable revolution must raise environmental respect and spiritual awareness. I hope to stimulate curiosity around who we could be and what we could do by bringing art to life and life to art.
The role of the artist is to make the revolution irresistible.

Bio
Hello. This is my space as an extroverted introvert to share some of my work & character.
I am a student of art and life – juggling graphic design, writing & fine art as opportunities arise.
After 2 decades of living in South Africa, Brasil and Germany I have returned to the beautiful Comox Valley on Vancouver Island.
Working as an artist feels like a privilege, a dream come true and is deeply challenging. Learning about myself and how to navigate our distressed world through creative practice is a therapy and a joy.
This site is a portfolio of various projects to encourage opportunities aligned with my skills & style. Thank you for visiting.
My Studio
Hidden in the woods is my little studio space, where I go to get inspired.
